Kitengela tiny house project
This tiny house is a low-cost housing solution that is very minimalist yet aesthetic with it;s black box-profile sheets and timber slats on it's facade. At the entrance, you will find a raised timber deck that extends into the house, creating a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces. A segregated study area is the first thing you will see as you enter the house, followed by an inviting lounge. Adjacent to the lounge you have a compact yet efficient kitchenette which is next to the bathroom. From the lounge, you can access the upper deck via steps which have storage underneath. The upper deck has a sleeping area that is demarcated by a glass railing which allows a view towards the lounge area below. The spaces are well lit with high windows and reflective whitewashed drywalling which is also well insulated from unwanted cold and heated. The house has a TNG ceiling . Sustainability is also considered with the inclusion of a rainwater harvesting system at the back of the house.
